James Cameron, 1997 (194 mins, Cert. 12)
Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio star as ill-fated lovers in an epic
saga set against the backdrop of the unforgettable disaster in April
1912, when the luxury liner Titanic hit an iceberg on its maiden
voyage. Shot by James Cameron on a grandiose scale, with lavish
photography and special effects.

A wonderfully spectacular epic! The first hour drags rather as the
cardboard cutout characters play out their stereotyped roles, but the
breathtaking scale of the action sweeps that away as events accelerate
to their inevitible climax. The special effects of the ship are
convincing enough to induce vertigo at times. Definitely one to be
seen on the BIG screen.
