Hello there! And welcome to "Nightwol's
Perch", my home on the web.
Thank your for visiting,
please take a moment to drop me a line
with any comments you might have about these pages.
If
you've not been in touch for a while you'll maybe notice from
the piccy above that the "Abraham
Lincoln" look has gone: this is the new look that goes with my new
job. Since February 2002 I've been working in the Faculty
of Oriental Studies at Cambridge
University, looking after all aspects of the Faculty's computing facilities
and acting as the faculty's webmaster.
I'm using these pages to share my love
of many of the things in life that I'm
most enthusiastic about: music, food & drink, cinema,
books,
cycling,
radio,
travel, the theatre,
and much more. I've also written a little about me,
and I aim one day to give a fuller account of how it came about that (with invaluable
help
from certain significant people) my wife,
Lisa,
and I met on the net and eventually turned a long-distance romance into
a wonderful real-life marriage.
If you can read PDF
files, you might like to take a look at the newsletters
we put together to send out to family and friends each Christmas.
Lisa is a keen watercolourist and I've
made a selection of her work available in an online
gallery for your viewing pleasure.
There are also some pages here about
Lisa's Grandpa, the musician J. Lawrence Cook.
Finally, there's the obligatory list
of links to some of my favourite places on the web. I hope you find
something of interest there (though I have to confess: it's long overdue
for
revision).
Please call back here again. I'm continually
developing these pages, so there's frequently something
or
to read. Until the next time, then... 'bye for now!
